Love Today: Non-Spoiler Review!

LOVE – A magical feel, butterflies down under, kiss, intimacy, care, and whatnot?

But that doesn’t really define the term of those four-letter words. Isn’t it?

The latest romantic rollercoaster from young director Pradeep Ranganathan keeps a reality check where the love story takes numerous twists and turns until it finally reaches the pointing finding themselves and their love.

The story plot revolves around the 24-year-old young IT employee Uttaman Pradeep (the director himself) from Chennai who fell in love with a 23-year-old girl – Nikita (Aleena Shaji). Pradeep lives with his mom and elder sister – Divya, who is about to get married within a week. Venu Shastri (Nikita’s Father - Sathyaraj) is an orthodox parent who possesses a task in front of them for their approval of love.

They tend to explore their true nature of themselves including some of their hidden secrets which unravel when the story moves on! This gets them into unwanted troubles and pushes them to the verge of getting a breakup. Do they accomplish the task successfully by sustaining the problem thrown at them or their crumble under external pressure is the bottom line.

There are various peculiar moments that we have experienced ourselves over the period, which even a commoner could relate to! This 2.30 hours Tamil drama unfolds various aspects of love and is indeed an eye-opener for many in the modern love scenario that we witness daily.

A special mention to the comedy actor Yogi Babu, who played a vital character in the story as Yogi. Divya and Yogi are the couples who are about to get married and the task factor slowly creeps into their drama as well. But the highlighting part is Yogi’s portrayal. The man who has been body shammed throughout all his years and yet managed to find a suitable partner for himself.

The heartfelt ending has portrayed emotions in a beautiful manner. It also stresses the major factor in love which is trust and holding hands during tough times. This movie went on full-house even during weekdays and will surely outfox the box office in the upcoming days.

Kudos to Pradeep Ranganathan for his engaging direction and screenplay. A big round of applause for the whole crew for pulling out this fun-filled entertainer and keeping the audience hooked up. A definite story spectacle to be witnessed in cinemas.
