International Literacy Day - Process of Shaping our Future Generation

UNESCO declared International Literacy Day on 8 September 1966, in order to remind the international community about the importance of literacy for individuals, communities, and societies and the need for increased efforts towards more educated societies. The topic of literacy is a core component of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan for the United Nations. The UN's Sustainable Development Agenda, adopted in September 2015 by world leaders facilitate equal access to quality education and learning opportunities across human lives.
